Problems with Framework

Apr 15, 2008 at 6:02 PM
First off, great idea for this framework! My initial need for this framework was for handling a form that the user
had made no changes to (for Adding an item) and wanting to handle them immediately clicking the Save button.
As you know, this does not validate under WPF.

Unfortunately, I'm really struggling with the Framework....

The sample you provided didn't really give many examples, so I added the following to it:

1. Gave the ValidatedContent element a name of GridValidator.
2. I wrapped the ValidatedContent element in a StackPanel
3. Added a Button to the StackPanel and added a Click Handler that did nothing more than call GridValidator.Validate();

If I understand correctly, that should validate when I click the Button. It throws lots of NullReferenceExceptions in ValidateBindings().

Let me know if I can provide any more info to help track this down.
Hopefully, if you follow the above steps you'll reproduce.
